Tim Hortons Swansea

Tim Hortons Swansea

If Tim Hortons in Swansea has 100 haters, I’m one of them. If Tim Hortons in Swansea has one hater, the hater is me. If Tim Hortons Swansea has no haters – I am dead. So you get the vibe – I hate Tim Hortons.

Look, I don’t know if it’s brilliant in Canada and the UK version is a bit grim, or if it’s disappointing, dry and overly sweet around the world – but I’ve been twice now in the Swansea branch and that’s me done – I’m never going again.

Tim Hortons Swansea Menu

Food-wise, Tim Hortons has a breakfast menu, a standard burger-type menu and doughnuts – you can see everything they have to offer just here.

The doughnuts look fantastic – but as you know, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. When it opened, like a mug I joined the queue and bought twelve doughnuts that cost a load of money to take home for my family, and they were dry – really dry. Turns out, they don’t cook them on site, they come in frozen so they aren’t freshly made, which is the bare minimum for a gourmet doughnut that’s costing a few quid, in my opinion.

If you want a really good doughnut in Swansea, check out Crewders Doughnuts in Brynmill for something special.

I’ve never tried the breakfast and never will. If I were you I’d assume it is horrible and spend your hard-earned cash elsewhere.

Tried the chicken burger today, and it was fine. That’s all the enthusiasm I can muster. Literally every other fast-food chain has a better chicken burger. It came with flaccid, barely defrosted lattice fries which I couldn’t be bothered to finish.

Tim Horton’s drinks menu

Maybe the drinks menu is where it’s at? I love coffee. I spend a decent portion of my wage in independent coffee places such as Mumbles Coffee, Rag and Bone and Microlot Coffee. I also love a sugary frappuccino from Starbucks on occasion. I love coffee in all its forms.

I ordered a frappuccino and I genuinely managed two sips before leaving it. It was another level of sweetness – I think it had maple syrup in it, as well as all of the other stuff. Maybe I’ll try out a plain coffee at some point, but I just really doubt anyone in there is making it fresh making it worthwhile.

It does have a huge amount of coffee-based drinks if you do want to give it a go, here’s where you’ll find the full Tim Horton’s drinks menu.

Is there anything good about Tim Hortons, Swansea?

The staff are lovely. They were sweet to my toddler and gave her some free little doughnuts. They are not the reason Tim Horton’s sucks.

I also like the interior. It’s a bit like a Costa inside, rather than a fast food place – so it’s a little more cosy than a McDonald’s or KFC.

That’s it.

Tim Hortons Swansea reviews

Ok, so you know I hate it – but what do others say?

Awful place. Burgers were like those cheap ones you get in fairs! God knows what the chips were but soggy awful things! Chips were cold so had to go back. No wonder it was empty. Don’t bother!

Amazing place and im slowly working my way through the menu lol. Staff at Llansamlet are always friendly an helpful answering areas are spotless.

Not tried before so gave it a go. Had egg sausage muffin . It is tiny. Sausage is rubbery, chipotle sauce is bland and slimy. The egg is ok. No.milk in my coffee and i was not offerred any. I will not be going back.
