Fika bagels, Mumbles

Fika Bagels, Mumbles

Fika is one of the newer places to eat and drink in Newton Road, Mumbles (though it’s been around a couple of years) – but it’s become a firm favourite thanks to its food’s quality and value for money. When I heard a bagel place was moving into the vacant building, I was a bit disappointed, because ‘who is that into bagels’? – but I couldn’t have been more wrong. I supposed I was thinking of those bready ones with cream cheese – which are alright, but who goes to a restaurant for one of them?

But these aren’t just any bagels – they are incredible. They also have great sides and cocktails too. Fika is a must-do in Mumbles, Swansea.

Fika Mumbles, Swansea menu

The menu changes up a bit, but at the end of the day, it will always be a bagel on offer with some sides.

If you’re going from 9 am – 12 pm, you can get a breakfast bagel. For example, there’s a breakfast bagel which has everything on it – egg, halloumi, bacon, chorizo, potato tots, chilli jam and cream cheese. There’s also Eggs Royal – smoked salmon, hollandaise and a poached egg. Oh, and veggie options.

If you want something sweet for breakfast, they have French toast bagels and bagel churros, which sound amazing. You can see the full breakfast menu on Fika’s Instagram. They have decent coffee too (something that Mumbles has a lot of).

If you’re going for lunch, some examples of fillings you can get include, buttermilk chicken, pastrami, pesto chicken, lamb and smoked salmon – next-level fillings. The sides are great too. Again, their Instagram is the best place to see what they have if you’re going to go and visit. Everything I’ve ever tried has been delicious.

Fika Mumbles Menu prices

All of the bagels, whether it’s a breakfast or lunch will cost you £10 – with everything on it. You can upgrade if you like, by making it ‘large’ or adding ‘chorizo’ etc, which will cost you a couple of quid on top, if you want.

You may think ‘ooffff that’s a lot of a bagel’, but I’ve bought sandwiches in Mumbles for more, and you didn’t get the quality and portion size you do at Fika. In my opinion, Fika’s bagels are well worth the money.

Fika Mumbles, Bottomless brunch

Who doesn’t love a Bottomless brunch? If you’re looking to go to one in the Mumbles, Fika is a solid choice with its wonderful cocktails.

Fika’s Bottomless brunch will set you back £35, for a two-hour period, which gets you unlimited prosecco and cocktails, with a bagel of your choice. They pride themselves on the fact that it isn’t cheap Prosecco or watered-down cocktails like other bottomless brunch places.

Considering a bagel is usually a tenner and a cocktail is £12 – it’s excellent value for money.

Fika mumbles review

So you know that I highly rate Fika in Mumbles, but what do others think? It has just over 90 reviews on Google, and has five stars – which is pretty impressive.

Great food, massive portions, thought £1.50 for one hash brown was a little steep, ordered a flat white and received a cappuccino, but still great.
Interior is very trendy and looks amazing and are staff friendly.
Good vegetarian options too.

Fika is a wonderful dog friendly restaurant with excellent opening hours and a really fun menu. The food itself is delicious – they get all the basics right and it’s a comforting and moreish mouthful. Portions are excellent, making it good value for money. Staff are also excellent, so friendly and service is very quick. Great coffee here too!

First time visit and would definitely visit again. We all had the breakfast bagal. All of which were incredible, they looked impressive and the presentation stunning, looks like they were made with love.
I know this sounds a bit over the top but it’s true.

Have you tried out Fika? What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
