Parc Le Breos Afternoon Tea

parc le breos afternoon tea

Parc Le Breos is a stunning hotel and grounds in Gower, just down the road from Mumbles, Three Cliffs and Langland Bay. As well as being the most beautiful hotel in Swansea, it also has one of, if not the best Afternoon Teas.

Parc Le Breos is jaw-droppingly beautiful. The drive through the woods to the hotel was breathtaking, and the conservatory where we sat for afternoon tea made us gasp when we saw ir. It’s truly stunning – there is no better venue.

On top of the setting and the wonderful staff (they couldn’t have done enough for us) – the Parc Le Breos Afternoon Tea is highly recommended. I’ll go into it a bit more…

Parc Le Breos Afternoon Tea Cost

At the time of writing (June 2024), a standard Afternoon Tea at Parc Le Breos costs £30 per person and is served from 2:30pm, Wednesday to Saturday.

They also hold special Afternoon Tea events now and then which cost a bit more, but come with added entertainment. For example, they have brought in a theatre company for a Jane Austin-themed event, which costs £45.

Parc Le Breos Afternoon Tea Menu

There was a big group of us, with a few different allergies, and the staff at Parc Le Breos couldn’t have been more accommodating. We were especially impressed with the gluten-free board, which looked maybe even more delicious than the standard one.

It certainly wasn’t just a second thought. They say to call us if you’re vegan or have other dietary needs and they’ll do whatever they can to cater to you.

There doesn’t seem to be a ‘standard’ menu which you get every time, as I think a lot of it depends on the time of year and what is seasonal, but in ours we got:

  • Finger sandwiches, ham, egg mayonnaise, and cheese and peppers
  • Warm sausage roll
  • Warm leek quiche (which without a doubt was the nicest quiche I’ve ever had)
  • Warm scones – which were light and delicious – with masses of clotted cream and jam
  • Blueberry muffins
  • Eclair
  • Brownie
  • Raspberry meringue.

There were of course a ton of tea and coffee options, but you could also order champagne, beer, local cider etc while there.

We were stuffed, and in fact, asked for takeaway boxes to bring back a load of leftovers.

Parc Le Breos Christmas Menu

I’ve never been at Christmas, but from its social media pages – Parc Le Breos looks magical during the festive period – just look at this video. Now I have little girls of my own, I’m going to make it a tradition to dress up the week before Christmas and go for afternoon tea there.

I’m sure the Parc Le Breos Christmas Menu is different every year, but the 2023 Christmas menu cost £30 a head and included:

  • Finger sandwiches (Roast turkey and stuffing, brie and cranberry, egg mayonnaise )
  • Broccoli and blue cheese quiche
  • Pork bacon and caramelised red onion sausage roll
  • Smoked salmon blini with cream cheese, lemon and dill
  • Cranberry and orange scone with jam and clotted cream
  • Chocolate tiffin Christmas sprinkles
  • Miela truffle treat petit Four
  • White chocolate and baileys choux bun
  • Christmas cake
  • Sherry trifle
  • Black forest muffin with vanilla mascarpone cream

Parc Le Breos Afternoon Tea Reviews

Best afternoon tea I’ve had ! The selection was just right, and everything was delicious. Just the right amount to leave you feeling happily complete. The staff were very professional and welcoming and the venue is dog friendly outside. Would highly recommend.

This is the best afternoon tea we have had in Swansea. Liz, the chef, made lovely sausage rolls, fresh hot cross buns, carrot cakes, meringues – all seasonal and tasty! There was unlimited tea a day coffee and the service was great. Parc le breos is a lovely location and is tastefully decorated. We booked this as a special treat for a relative and it was a great decision.

Delicious afternoon tea with friends for a birthday treat. Beautiful surroundings, a magnificent house. Staff were friendly and efficient. The tea was excellent, all home cooked and a wide range of items.
We will definitely return!

I’ve not tried them all yet (but I intend to!), but I suspect Parc Le Breos has one of, if not the best Afternoon Tea in Swansea. Are there any you think could top it? Let me know in the comments.
